I hope you all had a good start to your running week!
I don’t have much today except possible goals for this week and a quote!
Our coach in college had t-shirts printed with this one and had a sign in our locker room with it as well.
Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up and it knows it must outrun the fastest lion, or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up and it know it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. No matter who you are, when the sun comes up you better be running.
For this next week just a reminder to try and push yourself a little more on your running programs! But make it so you stick with it!
Beginning Runners: 4 days of 1.5 miles and 2 days of 1 mile. Remember to walk if you need to and run when you can.
Experienced Runners: Remember this will depend on your previous weeks mileage and your abilities – so if you have had your mileage up already make it longer! 1 long run (longer than last week), 1 medium run, 1 tempo run (faster but shorter), 2 shorter runs, 2 days off
Remember, the bigger your base – building slow, the higher your peak!
Day 1: Introduction – You are here π
Day 2: Start Small, Build Slow
